Number 1 and more especially 6, are stunners. I find the 55 very slow if moving from person to person, say at kids party, but if tracking one person it is fine. Dare I say that I tried a D700 the other day, all I can say is AF is FAST.

I know you say there may not be a lot of realism in your photographs, but I beg to differ. Your pictures are the ones many will dream to take, but either don't see the image possibility, or having seen it, have the skill or effort to take the shot. Your link is amazing.
I agree re the family shots, especially where the photographer has captured a look he may see often, and created a family life image.

Cheers chap, I thought I hadn't seen many of yours, there being two possible reasons...1. sold your 55 and or bought a new precious:D and busy getting to grips.

Tommyx, he is so very photogenic, I really like this set, especially the first and last.
Yasik, I think this is a first class portrait, and like the fact that it is in these colours and not b&w.
Simon, great composition, the eye is really led from bottom left, up along the diagonal. Nice colour treatment.

Lovely expression, I guess his thoughts are.."not the pink soother, anything but the pink one, please buy me a blue one".
The bokeh is great ,and the lens is sharp.

You have a good eye, our children make great subjects, but it takes my daughter a long time to stop pulling faces when I have the camera out. Some of the best pics are when she is occupied and distracted.

Another really well composed shot, I like the tones/saturation and use of dof. It works really well having the pen and eyelashes in the same field for focus.
Either a great capture or well posed, the beauty being that one cannot tell which.

This is a great place for info and to view good images. The tower block, toy railway and seascape are very good.
I have just received a Sigma 70-200 2.8APO EX to play with, but my choice swings between the DA*55 and the 28 AL, if I could only have one then the 55 would win. Just love the dog and bokeh.
