Correct. At least here in the south we keep a few hours of daylight throughout. Up north the sun has set for the season - next sunrise is in January (or February for the Svalbard settlements).

This was after sunset, really, with a nice orange glow over the southern horizon - and a bonus crescent moon (without which this wouldn't be much of an image at all).

Another from the Oslofjord, from the same spot as the one a bit further up, but as this is later in the year the sun sets much further west rather than almost due north.

A reasonably nice one over Oslo. We haven't had many really spectacular sunsets this year. I guess it's connected with the unusual weather we've seen.

I realise I have posted this scene more than once before, but at least not from the same day... It's just down from our summer house. Or "house" - it's a tiny cabin without running water installed, just a cold water tap outside. It's still our summer paradise :)
