Nah, it rarely sticks before end of December at the earliest. Snow, rain, sleet, slush, ice, some more snow to cover up the ice... Very different from just 30 years ago. Back then it was highly unusual with a "green" Christmas.
But hey, just one more week before the days slowly start to grow longer again :) December 21 the sun will be 7° above the horizon at its highest.
Now, where's my coffee?

Thank you. I very much live in the wrong climate zone. Winter is something I survive (hopefully), not something I enjoy. The lovely long days and bright nights of summer mostly make up for it, though.
