DA70 in FF mode. This is one of my favourite lenses on the K-1 as it was on the K-3/K-5. The cool wall ;-) by -savoche-, on Flickr

DA70 doing landscapes. A kiter (and two skiers, can you spot them?) at Finse, Norway. This is the location where the ice planet scenes in The Empire strikes back was filmed. Kiting by -savoche-, on Flickr

Oops, wrong thread... Guess this one with the DA15 is more suitable here ;)

DA70 - with some cropping since I didn't get the (*cough*) framing quite right ;) |

Thanks :)
I will take credit for the framing and a touch of post processing, but the dynamic range of the K-5 combined with the magic of the DA15 makes it so easy when Mother Nature sets up a scene like that.

Thanks. I think the frame gets too cramped when I crop all the way up to the trees, but it does look better with some of the empty space left out. IMG16601 by savochephotography, on Flickr

I was surprised at the sharpness at 3.2 after what I had read before I got mine. OTOH, mine is not as sharp at the edges at infinity, and is prone to a bit of colour fringing in the same area. Still good, I think, but not as consistently sharp throughout the frame as is my 15. Center sharpness is very good at any distance, though.

f/3.2 for both of the close-ups. I thought I got me a lens for landscapes, but I really like how it handles close focusing.

I got this lens not too long ago and finally had a chance to give it some exercise. I think we can become really good friends :)
Works well for landscapes.
...and for close-ups.
The bokeh can be a tad busy at times.
But all in all this might well become my new favorite for walkabouts.
