Super Takumar 50 1.4 on my K-01
I tried HDR on this one and it produced this purple effect. Not sure why.
I'm loving focus peaking.

Great shots Agnostic!
I especially like the second one - great reflections, and not too much or too little ripple in the water.
Colors are excellent as well.

Just got an SMC Takumar 55 1.8...
I am happy with this lens - it's a beauty.
It seems a little easier to focus than my Super Tak 50 1.4.
I can see the coating does make a difference in contrast already.

I guess my preference is for SMC Taks... I am thinking about going with an all Takumar kit. I'll keep the kit lens for wider shots, though, because I don't expect to be able to afford a wide Tak. I recently sold my DA40 ltd - it was hard to part with, but I used the money to buy my wife a gift for our anniversary, so no regrets! I'm in no hurry for the new kit, (as long as my LBA is in check) so hopefully I can wait for a good deal or two.
This thread is an inspiration!

Here are a couple of images from a foggy Thanksgiving morning.
Both were made with my k100ds and Super Takumar 50 1.4
I am starting to pursue other Takumars.... is it worth paying more for the SMC coating?
