Perfect focus everytime

In fact further investigation is making me wonder if I have a camera fault. Just tried three different lenses, DA*300, DAL 55-300, Sigma 150-500 and this is what happens.
(Back button and shutter half pushed no difference). Tracks for approx 10 secs then just stops re-focusing until I release the button and refocus. Then tracks again for about 10 secs (but slightly different each time) then won't change focus till I release button and start agin. Seems like a short or overheating or something.

Thanks Jack - yes I have, but not exhaustively under different conditions. I will persevere as the K3 is producing astounding results otherwise and others are having more success with this than me. Most of my testing has been with my DA*300 so will also try other lenses in case there is a minor fault there.

I have to say with the whole series of Pentax DSLR's I have had through M,Kx,Kr,K30 and now K3 I have very little success with the C mode in combinations with all possible variants. I had high hopes for the K3. Perhaps I expect too much. I am a back button focuser shooting mainly birds. I generally just use spot centre focus. Whenever I try "C" mode with back AF button continuously down I lock on the original target then as I move to other targets I hear the SR wobbling at as it hits the new target it makes an approximation at focusing but green indicator always flickers in and out and it is only when I relaese the button and repress it that I hear it bleep and the indicator locks. You can also see the micro adjustment as the focus becomes sharper. It is the same with or without SR on.
Been the same with all the cameras. Any thoughts?
