in my honest oppinion, its just disrespectful, point and shoot photography.. i really dont like the media industry and i dont like the fact that photo journalists can make a quick buck from situations like accidents etc... taking photos of fire fighters is fine, aslong as your using a zoom lense, but to be in everybodys way whilst they are trying to save peoples lives etc, is just plain rediculous. if i was a firefighter and some photojournalist came near me with a camera , id grab it and smash it. making money from shots like this, just seems un natural to me and in poor taste..
some of the shots you take are really good, but selling them to the newspapers/news and general public i find a bit of a piss take.i know theres a need for photos and without photos the media is nothing more than an over glorified 'womens day' magazine series, but i hate the way the media portrays society and the people in it.its one big bitch fest and making money from somebodys misfortune is just disrespect on the highest of levels.. but thats why i would never get into photo journalism, for that very reason... taking advantage/pleasure from others pain and suffering is something that should be dealt with accordingly.
