Good question Weevil. I always do the HDRs first then stitch. I've not tried it the other way. I think there would be major alignment issues if you stitched 5 panos then tried to merge them as HDRs. This one was 6 sets of 5 shot brackets shot at 12mm in portrait orientation. It's a huge view squeezed into 1 photo. I'm not terribly happy with it and will probably reprocess it at some point.

I recently spent 8 days in Death Valley and shot a few panoramas.
Kaleidoscope Canyon (360 degree panorama)
Kaleidoscope Canyon
Ibex Dunes (360 degree panorama)
Eureka Dunes (360 panorama)
A Little Planet from the above panorama.
A 3 shot panorama of me and my buddy riding in Dedeckera Canyon. One frame was a self-portrait of us riding using the interval shooting mode (I love Pentax for this).
Augereberry Point
Goler Wash is not an easy place to ride a heavy motorcycle.
BTW, I'm hosting the Post-Processing Challenge this week on Pentax Forums. The theme this week is panoramas. I've shared 4 PEF frames. Go show me your panorama and processing skills! https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/26-mini-challenges-games-photo-stories/28...th-valley.html |
