Those two guys, look like a couple of 'enforcers' from the Elliot Ness days, with their XLL shoulders and pin striped suits. Nicely caught.

:lol: Courtesy of my wife, I do eat healthily and enjoy my food. But I must admit, that on occasion it is nice to have a big, double patty..with chili on it...burger.
Nowadays, I don't eat near as many burgers as I used to....and so, when the craving hits me...I go and get a really good hamburger. I'm not going to waste my few burger eating opportunities on some franchise chain burger joint. :eek:
To accomplish that, I go back to that little Greek drive in restaurant...which is still composed of a kitchen/take out shack on a small parking lot, with about 4 wooden picnic tables and benches.
Same place as 1966...and same burger. Can't beat that !
But now I don't sit backwards on the seat of my old Czech motorcycle....I pickup the food and take it home in our large Chevy 4WD SUV. Their hamburger is such that I pretty well have to eat it with a knife and fork. :D

Interesting picture. Reminds me, when I was a high school student, who worked at a summer job in the late '60's.
During lunch time, every so often I would buy a big 'deluxe' double burger...juicy with lots of dressing, salad, etc. Mmm good. The restaurant was run by a Greek family, who really knew how to make delicious food.
The place was a small restaurant was basically just a kitchen, a pick up window, , small asphalt parking lot, with a few outdoor, wooden picnic tables out for customers to eat .
Usually they were crowded, so I would spread the aluminum foil, that the burger came in...on my motorcycle seat. It was a big, leather covered, plush seat, lots of space...I would sit backwards, while the bike was on the centre stand...and eat away.
It was relaxing, not messy....and as a 17 year old, could observe the downtown passing parade.
My motorcycle at the time, was a 1965 Czechoslovakian CZ 125cc. Good bike. All this took place, almost 60 years ago. :D

Very nice. A buddy had one, back in '68-69. Think it was a '68. Had a 4 speed manual transmission, white in colour, 390-4 barrel, v8 engine. Beautiful car to look at, quite quick. His 1/4 mile drag times were about 14.6 seconds.
I remember once when he left the drag strip and wound it through the gears on the highway. Unfortunately there was a Mountie (RCMP) right behind him, in a '70 Chevy Biscayne highway interceptor...with a 454 cube V8. My buddy with the AMX got a ticket.

The bus gearshift lever looks as long and beefy as the shift lever in my old '62 Volvo PV544s with B18s, twin SU carb engine. The old PV's different components...such as the 4 speed transmission, the rear axle, the shoulder seat belts, etc...all seemed to be larger and more rugged than they needed to be, but that is how Volvo designed and built these old PV's.
I've had a lot of vehicles over the years, but the ones I still wish I had were the PV, my '67 Camaro RS coupe, first car, a '61 VW, '97 Chev Astro (immensely useful /practical utility vehicle, '07 big Buick sedan.
Geez, my answer went off topic quickly. :D
