Thanks Noel. Never seen that on my wanderings around the market but I'll look for it next time I'm there. A lot of people here just don't appreciate what these people are running away from.. tragic!

A nice shot to be sure and the background is quite the impressionist view too. Bush Ranger Beards were in full swing by all and sundry back in the day. ---------- Post added 09-06-14 at 08:30 PM ----------
Love your work LeRolls! IS this a light painted image as per some of your previous shots?

Gorgeous! ---------- Post added 25-05-14 at 02:38 PM ----------
I love your work mate and my comment was not about your work but the aesthetic choice the girl makes for her lipstick.

The lipstick looks strange as it has escaped the bounds of the lips and thus has lost what appears to be a lovely form.

Gorgeous quality to that second shot. I wish I still had my LX sometimes.

My "special lighting" question was probably meant more for the "Bang!" shot. The skin tones in that photograph are delicate whilst the color is intense and yet not overdone. People trashing the K-01 should look at these pictures and think again.
I know my way around LR5 very well but that's not the same as having a refined sensibility. Cheers.

Wonderful portraits mate! I am definitely going to have to buy a FA43 after seeing these, although I don't imagine my results will stack up. Was there any special lighting involved in these shots?

Nice! I've been avoiding the '43 for sometime but will probably buckle soon. Shots like this one don't help ;-(

A pleasant goodbye but no 'happy ending'... not that I was looking for it but I did realize that's what you meant.
PS> I had a pretty aggressive run-in with a "Sex Worker Advocate" on Facebook over the following shot:
She accused me of taking voyeuristic pictures of unsuspecting 'working girls' so I approached one and she was a pretty good sport actually. The 'advocate" was way too sensitive.. more than this girl anyway.

I particularly like that 2nd shot. I haven't seen a beach scene like that for years around here and I used to paint them.

That's certainly a great photo to remember your lens by. Sorry mate.. I really am sorry that this happened to you. I'd probably have jumped in after the lens-cap and drowned. I hope it ends well though.

Yes and the 77 is $10 LESS than the one I had in my cart the other day.. I won't tell the local rep about the eBay store though...

I had two lenses in my cart and it's been cleared out.
You can blame me for this because the FA31 I received has a fault and I've been trying to get a replacement.. when the local rep heard the price I paid he hit the roof and vowed to get the prices changed. They offered me a refund but at $841 I politely declined in favour of a fix or a replacement.

I just popped in to let you know that Pentax Snaps Australia's Facebook Page is using one of my Sliders pictures as their cover photo: https://www.facebook.com/PentaxSnaps This shot was taken with an K-5 & FA31mm.

My 1st FA31 cost me 1650 and I lost 600 when I sold it to buy into Nikon. Recently I was lucky enough to stumble across the CRK Easter Sale (Facebook) and got my current one for $841. This is my all-time favourite 'standard' lens.

A lovely shot mate but my only complaint would be the 'white' outline around the buildings...

Thanks for that as my K-5 & DA*55 are at -10 and I'm not 100% sure it shouldn't be more if it could which is a little scary. To be able to side-step the damned tests shots I take when I get a new lens would be priceless.
