Bab's looks like quite the character. The minor PP you did isn't offensive in the least, looks good to me.

Gotta love old gear. What I find interesting is the new hoses and wires, leading me to believe that thing is still in use.

Judging from the sun star and pixie dust, I detect a limited of some sort. ;)
Nice series!

Oh I dunno, it depends on the provenance of the Nomad for me.
If it was a wreck, or rust bucket and the dash was trash, etc. then I really don't have a problem with a resto-mod. Besides, with modern running gear it is much more likely not to rear end someone and total itself and the 3 cars in front of it. (Drum brakes suck!!!!) Either way, it looks nice.

Very nice Toni ! Is the Orton effect like sliding the Clarity to the left instead of right? Kinda dreamy.

Still looks awesome to me. The color of that water is surreal, like it just melted off of a glacier!

Ok, now you are just showing off

That is a very cool capture of that bank of moisture suspended like that. Beautifully timed shot.

Spectacular color spectrum! Just beautiful picture. I have to ask... how close does that match your memory of that day?

Another great set Frederick. I especially like the detail in the grated parm... making me hungry. :D

You squeezed every last drop from that K-5IIs over the past year or so, and I can't begin to imagine what you will do with a K-1 in your masterful hands.

Looking forward to following your post's in the other thread.

Frederick - Awesome set! Don't know where you find the time to shoot the old K5iis now that you have the K1 blazing away... heh.
Hate to bug you, but gotta ask: I assume this is pixel peeping at 100% on RAW files ? Or did you mean resized to view full image equally with both? I know the 16mp sensor is pretty amazing and punches way above it's weight class still, but that is a pretty astounding comment.
Thanks,
Eric

Nice one Rupert! Ask Otis what the white ring is in the eye...reflection or something? Exif says flash was off...just curious.

Zeiss Planar is kind of a funny name for such a cute kid...
Joking aside, that is a great moment captured, and that lens looks like a performer!

Cross posted from Nik free download thread.

Just tried my new free Nik software out on a shot from St Augustine trip. The Silver Effects plugin is cool... this is the High Contrast High Structure I think they called it.

Good old K5 Classic, Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 @ ISO 80, 50mm, 320th, F7.1, handheld and I just put it on motor drive and counted off the 5 second canon fuse and laid on the shutter.

The funny thing is, the first frame got the shot, and all the subsequent shots were too late. Go figure...

For what it's worth, I notice that a lot with the motor drive. I have much better keeper rate if I use my eyes and ears to catch the shot, rather than put on the motor drive and spray and pray. Spray & pray usually gets me the nose or tail of the object I'm trying to get in the frame.

Fun stuff!
Eric
