The WB on the camera was set to Auto on both shots, so it seems the Laowa 12mm has a similar colour balance as the Pentax. The Laowa took a bit of getting used to, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I really need to try it with astro which is the main reason I bought it for. I'm off to NZ next year so I should be able to get away from all the light pollution around here.
I'm also really pleased with the 28-105mm. I think it is one of the best kit lenses I've ever used.

My wife and I stayed at Picton for two nights, one night before walking the 72km Queen Charlotte track and a second night at the end. It's a shame you couldn't get into the Sounds as it's absolutely stunning there.

Superb photo.
I've been thinking about getting this lens as the pictures I've seen are superb and the picture quality compares more than favourably with the Irix 15mm. I think the Irix is easier to use but I'd like a bit more wide angle than 15mm. My main concerns are with vignetting star bursts. Some sites suggest the Laowa doesn't do star bursts. Have you been able to get starbursts? Picture quality is more important than cost to me.
