Lovely shot of both subjects, well exposed for Earthshine!

I'm reminded of the old joke -- "There's got to be a pony in here somewhere". Nearly as shaggy as a musk ox, and lovely high-contrast shot.

I do indeed, and have plotted out various events to try to catch. Problem is I'm not so close to any mountains ...

Love it! I've been trying for similar moon + landscape shots and they're not easy to come by.

Can't rate the quality of the ballet, but that is an excellent shot. As a bonus I love how the shadows show what we can't see directly.

Bad form to quote myself, but here's an example of the A400/5.6 wide open. Not a great shot; just an opportunistic grab of a Mockingbird, ISO 400 (which is pushing things on the K10D), handheld at 1/125, uncropped:

Thanks. :) In real life it's a friendly-looking stump; shooting close with a WA lens does make it look a bit ominous, though.

Admittedly the A400/5.6 isn't brilliant wide open, but I find it usable. All in all a very good, handholdable, supertelephoto, as your shots show very nicely. I love my A400/5.6. :)

At the other end of the scale, some shots from the A20/2.8. Just back from an Eric CLA; some shots from today (digital "dodge and burn" in #2):

Best to resize them to no larger than 1024px in either dimension (with sharpening after resize if appropriate). Any larger and the file is automatically resized on upload and will likely appear soft.

Well done on capture, use of flash, subject ID, and most unusual background!

This is about a 50% crop with the A 400/5.6 plus 1.4x-L Rear Converter A:

and one with the A 24/2.8:

I haven't used mine much yet, but here are a few (all with some degree of PP applied):

Great "3-d" shot! (It would be a great addition to the https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/mini-challenges-games-photo-stories/17556...-pictures.html thread.)

Thanks Dave! A cold sunny morning and the GBH was just hanging out in a sheltered sunny spot, where it was easy to find a good lighting angle.

I'm a recent A-Club inductee, with my A 400/5.6. Two from yesterday, the first with just the top cropped to get a 3x4 ratio, and the second about a 50% crop (yes, I was rather close to this unusually tame GBH). Both at f/8, ISO 100.
