I bought quite a few 70-300mm lenses, but now want to sell them since I have ordered WR version 55-300 lens, and am saving for Sigma 100-300/4. So all these 70-300 lenses need to go.

This lens is in overall good condition. some sign of usage on the barrel, a little bit very small dust inside, not more than you will expect from an used low tolerance lens.

It is faster than DA 55-300 lens. 70-135mm: F4; 135-210MM: f4.5; 210-300: F5.6

Zoom, AF and aperture work great. Not any problem noticed.

very sharp from 70-200. A little soft after 250mm. I stop down to 6.3 or smaller at 300mm end.

The lens goes into macro model at 200mm-300mm range, maximum 1:2 macro. Not a serious macro lens, but much better than most other "macro" zoom lens. Very handy. I have pentax fa 50/2.8 macro and sigma 105/2.8 macro. This lens is not as sharp in the corners if compare with these real macro lens, but I really like it when walking around in the zoo or park, I don't have to change lens when I see a beautiful flower or butterfly. 300mm 1:2 means longer distance to the butterfly. Hard to handhold though. I stop down to at least f8 at macro model, to get DOV, but have to push ISO to 1600. If you have a K5 or higher, I think you should be happy.
