Pentax should be offering screwdrive conversion free as an option to their pathetic SDM design issues

You have to be careful which editor you pick. Most simple editor saves as a .txt file which is something you don't want to do

I don't own it and can't seem to come up with a price that if I buy it, I can resell and make a bit of cash.
what would you consider a fair offer for this lens?

thanks so far

Good stuff!
I find my 50-135mm micro hunts occasionally but like you said better than no auto focus at. Couple of years I am going to get it repaired when I know it will be a better sdm

Cheers

Yes I used the k100d. Once someone on this thread told me how to access the debug menu it was not hard at all. Likely the k100 would be a good investment if you are looking at buying more sdm lenses in the future.
Did you try the "holding down both the + - button and the info button at the same time and start the camera. Then within 5 seconds push menu menu info?
You also have to download notepad ++

once I could get in the true debug menu on the k100 it unloaded the file, edited the file in notepad++ and wow that was it!

thanks very very much everyone for the help!
I think I am going to get the sdm fixed but in a couple of years when I know that they have a better design

cheers

Does this work with either the kx, k100 or the k5iis? (*50-135)
I can only get as far as a splash screen telling me the file numbers, with debug in the corner. that last a couple of seconds then "PC vendor" appears and that is far as I can get it. can only get this far with pktether..,., with just the sd card I get the red light that lights up 2x and then just a black screen.

thanks

this is the part that confuses me:

Then change the code "C0" by "80" in the colonn 03,for the following lines
-* 0020
-* 0060
-* 00A0
-* 00E0
-* 0120
-* 0160
-* 01A0
-* 01E0
-* 0220
-* 0260
-* 02A0
-* 02E0
-* 0320
-* 0360
-* 03A0
-* 03E0

what should the modified line look like after you change C0 by 80?
800020 for example on the first line?

thanks
