It is not clear to me what a reasonable profit margin on an ILC should be. Presumably, development costs must first be recouped, and this is harder for Pentax than for Canon or Nikon. But then, does it make economic sense to keep the margin slim to attract more lens sales?

This is why I'm excited but not impatient to see the next APS-C flagship. I expect something special, and am willing to wait (the burden of every Pentaxian). We had to wait for the DFA* 50 and 70-200, but it was well worth it. Spectacular outcomes blunt the pain of impatience.

That makes perfect sense to me. I am very happy with my K1 and in no rush for an update. On the other hand, my K3 is feeling a bit dated. I think for most of us, it's the APS-C that should come first.

On my Mac, picture show in Chrome but not in Safari.
Why did no-one mention the Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo and the Rainbow Lorikeet in the Pentax booth? Is there a hidden meaning? Is it a disguised hint about the K3ii successor, or the next lens release? Very deep.
