What's the go with infinity focus for the 14/2.8? What's the story with the white marker to the right of the actual hard stop near the infinity mark?

I have done some tests... DOF even at 2.8 is so great that it's hard to tell, but it seems to me that true infinity focus might be near the right end of the white mark.
