I spent a couple of weeks boating in the archipelago along the south coast of Finland.
I just love those old fishing villages, like going back a hundred years in time! These are all K1 Mk II shots with DFA 24-70 and Sigma 300/2,8.

Days are getting short this far north. The Flash Light Art Biennale started the season of light shows in Suomenlinna, a historic naval fortress on the isles outside Helsinki.

Started my ski season during the weekend. A bit chilly with temperatures hovering between -15 and -20 C, but beautiful sunshine! A couple of snapshots with the DFA 24-70.

LUXHelsinki is an annual light festival arranged around the darkest time of the year.
Some of the landmarks of Helsinki get a rather bizarre new look for a couple of days...
The low light capabilities and DR of the K-1 come in handy!

This far north days are now rapidly getting shorter. The high season for all kinds of light festivals is here. The K-1 continues to impress with itīs low light capabilities and DR!

Still after 2 years the K-1 keeps on surprising me with its low light capabilities. The amount of detail you can pull out of the shadows is just amazing.

Had lovely spring weather in Helsinki today. Spent the whole afternoon skiing on the frozen sea off the coastline.
Bright sunshine on an open icefield creates extreme contrasts. The dynamic range of the K-1 passed the test with flying colours!

Tall Ships Race 2017 brought the big sailing ships to Finland at the end of July.
The start to the next leg on open sea was quite a sight!
Shot with K-1 + FA*80-200 /Sigma 500/4,5.

Took the K-1 for a night walk in a light festival in the central quarters of Helsinki. Had to crank the ISO up to 1600 and 3200. Under these conditions the FF really excells and shows the power of itīs dynamic range !

Been shooting with the K-1 for a couple of months now. What continues to impress me is its low light/high ISO performance. AF locks into target without hesitation and there is very little noice in the pictures. This one was shot after midnight in bare moonlight.
