I currently am a K-r user, seem to have one with no problems focusing; maybe its the conditions I use it under, but still I would love to have a K-5. I suspect there are a lot of people like me who find the price, even as much as it has dropped, a little too much for us considering I am new to Pentax and buying some lenses. Not saying it is not worth it. I think in the new models there needs to be a camera between the K-5 and the K-r. Some, but not all of the K-5 features in a body the size of the K-r with the current K-5 sensor and the user friendliness of the K-r, assuming the successor of the K-5 moves to more MP. Mainly though we need more reliable cameras. When you figure you got a good one and the odds of buying another Pentax being trouble-free is not good, it makes you hesitate.
