DA 18-135 WR, Show us what it can do

I look at them for different purposes. The IQ on both are excellent as I've shot portraits with both but seem to pull out the 18-135 more due to it's quietness and focal range, Most of my shots are within the 25-75mm range. While that may show some overlap I'll stick with the 18-135 for two more reasons...size and zoom ring. The DAL 55-300 is not smooth trying to zoom in and out (at least mine isn't) it's haltingly rough and it's much larger length-wise than the 18-135 but similar in weight on my scales 17.5 oz DAL and 15.9 oz for the 18-135.If you get a smooth one the 55-300 will make a nice addition to your collection but I'm almost positive the newer version (PLM) will run circles around the DAL 55-300. Hope that helps.

This will be the lens I keep out of my current APSC lens if I sell the other zooms. It's weather sealed and takes awesome shots.

Ugh Matt you're going to have to get that fixed quickly. You're the main reason I'm subscribed to this thread.

Passed by this church while in the Miami area. Seems that it's booked almost a year out for weddings. I photographers dream from what I heard.

Had some fun with our neighbors dog (Milo) coming over for a visit. My two dogs (Bubba and Bella) are so like whatever dude we live here and MIlo is all hyper active.
Pentax K3 and DA 18-135 sometimes set the aperture at F16 for some reason but i was happy with the results.

I seldom venture into this forum even though I've had this lens for awhile but here is a picture I took that I liked that was shot at night resting on a log so the view is a little skewed lol.

Remember all those great photo's you've seen over the past years? Guess what? They were taken on cameras with a lot older tech than what is available today. It's nice to have the latest and greatest but as it's been said time and time again. It's the person behind the camera that matters the most.

That's good to hear about the Colemans. I had a Coleman VIlla Del mar that leaked pretty bad but the Coleman Sunlit Ridge 6 I got worked like a charm

Awesome shots as always Mattb but I have a question. Do you ever use any filters on your 18-135?

I can officially join this thread now. Picked up a 18-135mm lens for $365. Some of my first shots set ever taken with the lens. These are all unedited images no image correction done.
