I like how they are purposely promoting Pentax. When the shot gets tighter on the hosts, suddenly the camera is in frame with them. :)

This is what I get asked on Facebook just about every time I post an album. Usually from "Pinterest Moms" who want to produce the same shots. I just reply "Pentax" so they stop commenting. :p

Just convinced a friend of mine to get a Q7 for his trip to Venice. His mother-in-law is also getting a WG3 or 4 for her scuba trip. It's not much, but hopefully it spreads.

I recommended a Nikon superzoom for my sister. It has a crazy range of equivalent 28-1000mm! Not the best at lowlight, but would be great for long bird shots in daylight.

Good news for Dallas pentaxians. I just saw a Q, wg2, and even a k30 at wolf camera on Greenville ave. The salesman said they should be getting lenses soon.

It was a simple poster with just the Pentax logo on top. Apparently they make a couple of universal box camera lenses. The salesman said that he's seen examples shots from the lenses and prefers Pentax over Tamron and Sony. I told him that Pentax has a little more experience in the lens department:cool:.

I was in a security supplier branch here in Dallas picking up some stuff, when I caught myself staring toward one of the salesmen. I took me a while to figure at what I was staring at; a Pentax poster! I'm so used to seeing the Pentax logo on my equipment and on the web, that I felt weird seeing a printed ad. It was for Pentax's CCTV lenses, which I didn't even know existed.
Point being: Yes Pentax advertising is very lacking, especially in the DFW area, so much that someone who has been exposed to the brand since birth is dumbfounded when discovering it outside.

Here in the Dallas area, I have only see 2 other Pentaxians in the wild; a little-league photographer with a K2000 and a jeweler with a K100. The K100 interestingly enough was in immaculate condition, being used with macro diopters for product shots. When I asked if it spent all 6 years safe indoors, he explained that it was actually his son's camera that spent years around his neck in ANTARCTICA as a study group attached to the film-makers of March of the Penguins! The little Pentax that could.
