I wish, it's -24C in the Peg - and there are no K-3's to be had here (at least when I wanted one, 'cos mine had to be brought in).

Nah, they are guessing I had a virus attack my heart but they aren't 100% sure.
As for home cooking... I have to be careful I lost 20 lbs while I was in hospital and I don't want them back.

I had perogies and cheese for supper. They were very good.
I won't buy a K-3 this year - cos I bought one last year and spent 5 weeks in hospital just after i bought it and the two must have been related. I mean it's just as plausible as the reason the quacks gave me. If it works for them it works for me :D.

Everyone's dinner sounds so good! I'm still subject to hospital food. Tonights delights for the palate were turkey roll, mashed sweet potatoes and chunks of carrot. Needless to say I passed. I think cheese has been banished from here as I haven't seen a decent piece for weeks. As for the bacon it's sliced so thin you can see through it.

Gosh I really hope not as I'm still bed warming in hospital! I'd say I spent enough time in here to cover me for many many years. Today is day 32 (not that I'm counting the days like being incarcerated).

They don't know, I've been through a lot of tests and so far it hasn't been good news but I'm staying positive.

I just want to say thanks for such a fun thread. I've been in hospital since Dec 1 and anytime I need a laugh I come here and you've always delivered.
Just to stay on topic (gasp) the hospital delight known as dinner had cheese on the beef casserole and in the perogies. I tried to talk the nursing staff into serving an adult beverage but all they offered was water. Something is wrong there.

I thought it might be time for some cheese... I made some Welsh Rarebit for supper tonight. It was gourmet cooking, but it was very tasty; Welsh Rarebit by Stevi D., on Flickr

Congrats! You'll love it. You'll even have a little bit left over for some cheese sandwiches!

In fear of actually putting this on topic - I did buy a K-3 and I firmly admit to being an amateur photographer. I do it because I enjoy it. I don't sell any of my shots, but that doesn't mean I won't. I have a K-r and this upgrade is wonderful. I like to shoot (photographically only) wildlife and this offers me so much more. I bought it because I can use the "extra" features. My level of "professionalism" had absolutely nothing to do with that decision.
BTW I do like cheese sandwiches - especially with sliced tomato.

I quite like Applewood Smoked and a nice sharp English Cheddar. Sorry I couldn't just pick one.
