Answer to questions and a bump...
I bought the ZX-7 as new and it does have the date back. I have only ran about two or three rolls of film through it. I have other film bodies and have no need for this one.
The 1.4x TC is for autofocus and has the power zoon contacts, but does not work with SDM when I tried it.
I will discount multiple purchases.

Pentax ZX-7 + DATE BACK– film camera with battery grip and 35-80mm 4-5.6 AF lens. The camera is in super excellent condition with the only mark I can see a tiny scratch on the side of the pop-up flash. Camera and grip come with box. No instructions.
