I use always autofocus, it's only less than 1 year that I own a reflex.... My previous camera was a Panasonic LX3.
Completely fall in love with K5 and pentax lenses....
another FA*85 than stop cause this is the DA* forum... |

There is something magic in the FA*85, probably warmer colors .... I don't know.
but 55 is on the camera a lot now (the weather is very cold, FA*85 is definitely not an every day lens)
but I can ask the same to you:
how do you compare the 55 to the 77?
2 shots with 85
first with good light at f/1.8
second with low light at f/1.4 |

after testing a bad copy of the DA*55 I decided to give this lens a new chance,
I finally found an used one.
This copy with a correction of +5 works like a charm :) |

Dear Simon,
love your captures with the DA*55
I had to return my copy of that lens because of back focus.
Not able to compensate with my K5.
But looking at your pictures (and remembering how well balanced was the 55 on the k5) I'm thinking to try again with another copy....
YOUR CAPTURES ALSO AT 1.6 ARE SO SHARP!
In the meantime let's bite this apple..... |
