We are discussing at Russian penta-club the situation that smartphones already killed P&S cameras and the photo market of DSLR and EVIL decreases every year. The people lose interest to photo equipment.
For example, all my friends and relatives (who had P&S cameras, mirrorless and DSLR just for family shooting) stopped to use all this gear several years ago and use smart phones only.

It seems to me Ricoh looks a bit confused. Q is frozen and I think it won't have any perspectives.
To carry APS-C, FF and MF is rather heavy burden for Ricoh. Everything goes very slow and with risks to lose all.
But to hesitate is more risk than to go very slow and in conservative way.

How to remain afloat ? To launch lenses slowly is wrong way. IMO. The lenses are flesh and blood of system.
New lenses are the bricks of photo brand.

As for me - I need DA* or DA WR travel prime 20-25 mm. I tried DA20-40 and my copy was terrible in terms of BF/FF. I don't want to repeat.
The prime is easy to adjust.

But it's not new DA lenses :) Kenspo is not the authority for me.

Me? :) The sense of DA limited is IQ+compactness, f2.8 is enough.

DA77 is larger and heavier. 48 mm vs 26 mm, 270 gram vs 130 gram. I can put DA70 in the pocket, but I can't put FA77.
Yes, FA77 is rather compact for FF lens, but DA70 is very small.

28 f2.8 and 85 f2.8 and 135 f3.5 are OK for DA limited. New cameras have rather fine high ISO, by the way.
Let it be not very fast, but sharp and small.

I see the room for DA Limited, Ricoh doesn't see. As they already said.

DA28, DA85 and DA105 or 135 in metal body and compact design - why not?

I would prefer two lines of FF lenses - DFA* - very expensive, big, fast and all weather lenses.
And simple line of plastic very compact WR lenses - DFA24/3.5, DFA35/2 (the same FA with 7-9 blades aperture), DFA50/2, DFA85/2, DFA135/3.5 - DC or PLM - not important.

But I'm afraid Ricoh is too weak to develop two lines. They plan to produce 1 expensive, big FF lens per year and it's really sad to hear...

No surprises. The profitability for Pentax lenses is rather low and it's simpler not to produce new K-mount lenses.

Surprises are rather strange policy of photo brand. Only concrete info could attract new users and keep old.

Is there any info about GR?

645 system future is the problem for Ricoh IMO

Refreshing 35/3.5 and discontinued DFA/DA25 for last 2.5 years. Very slow developing of something new. Two news zooms - when and which?
No new primes in 645 roadmap.

645D was announced in 2010, 645Z - in 2014...The normal cycle for MF camera is 4 year.
Will we see new developed body with new bigger sensor? Big doubts about it...
New Fuji camera + 3 lenses are not system yet, but Fuji is strong player and could make GFX the real competitor for all MF brands very soon.
With so low prices for MF market and very compact size.

It seems to me that FF takes away too many efforts and resources.
Very sad APS-C roadmap. Solitary Wide-angle zoom without any info during 5 years.
No new limited lenses - DA or DFA.

I'm very interested why some other brands put in roadmap concrete focal length and aperture of new lens, Pentax and Ricoh never did it.
Does it mean that they even don't know what they plan to develop?

I don't see in K-mount roadmap any new primes from 100 till 200 mm. Something like 105 or 135 fast lens and 180-200 macro.
No 400 or 600 mm.

The perspectives of attraction of new users with so slow developing of DFA lenses and without new 645 primes are rather vague.
