There are official data of manufacturer about batteries and my own experience from 2005 year. If the numbers of shots are 2 times+ higher with the same camera I use and higher than official information, I can think about this user what I want.

Not me.
The man said about 1500+ shots with heavy 150-450 in AF-C with LCD on, deleting and viewing...Hard to believe.

It's funny story. If I have CIPA level's shots is normal. It's not a problem. Your story is unique for Pentax cameras. I had K-5 too and several original D-Li90 and never heard such fabs. Yes, I can get approx. 1000 shots with manual lens. And I know such users. But 1500+ with AF-C - you can't prove it.

It's some kind of science fiction. The max. shots I ever had with K200D + battery grip with Li AA batteries was 1200.
K200D with rechargeable LiOn AA batteries (with battery grip) could 550-600 shots.
My K-5IIs could 500-600 shots with AF with original battery.

Strange explanation.
It' was APS-C system. Fuji and Olympus have no FF system too. Samsung planned to go Fuji's way - MF and APS-C cameras.

It's just different version of the basic 24 MP APS-C sensor. Not the new developed sensor with absolutely different specs.

The difference is very small between K-3 and K-70/KP. But KP and K-70 have acceleration unit.

Ricoh still uses old 24 MP APS-C Sony sensor, but with acceleration unit. No new sensors in Pentax cameras.
