Nice! I wonder how much it would cost to get my house set up like that?

It's a yellow crowned night heron. The bird you shot has a black face with white cheek stripes and a yellow stripe (crown) on the top of the head. IMGP8505 by Miles Shaylor, on Flickr

Nice owl shots. Owls often use the same nest site for several years so they might not be a once in a lifetime chance. (but keep shooting anyway.)

Nice! How did you do that? Multiple exposure? Photoshop? Or were you herding squirrels?

Nice! I like the lighting of the first and the 'pose' of the second image. I tried to get some eagle pics recently and all I got was squat. Payday! by Miles Shaylor, on Flickr
But I did get a snow goose goose-stepping around the park! Snow goose by Miles Shaylor, on Flickr Snow goose by Miles Shaylor, on Flickr

Contact your local Audubon Society. They often have a message board that alerts other birders to unusual sightings. You might also get pointed to places for watching/photographing birds. Just do a web search for your area.

Wouldn't you love to get your hands on the person who put the "i" right next to the "u" on the keyboard? Anyway....

And I suppose this is as good a time as any to ask ....This is a 300mm-plus club and the lens is a 150mm to 500mm. Is anyone particularly offended that the lens was actually at 230mm?
