Yep, I did the same thing a couple of years ago. YouTube is the only Google owned service I regularly use. I don't upload anything there. The few videos I have uploaded are on Vimeo or Facebook. I doubt that either one is much better about your privacy.

Too bad really. Google bought Picasa only to trash it and now Nik. I wasn't a Nik customer but I did download the plug in's when they became free and I use them occasionally. I used Picasa a lot and stored my online photos there for years. It was great for quick edits and online sharing. My photos are still there but I haven't uploaded anything in a long time. Lately, I'm more and more avoiding Google products when possible.
