K-1 and Nikkor lenses

Yes. Actually quite easily so for a selection of older lenses.

We have a Pentaxian who first adapter both

Nikkor 500mm F4 and

Nikkor 300mm F2.8

to Pentax in DIY way and later reconverted that using the cheap Leitax für Pentax mounts.

As far as I understand, he often uses the Pentax x1,7 AF Adapter to regain autofocus and get more reach.

Well if you are so easy with shelling out 6.000+ EUR for a single lens combo, then why even consider other options.
