Hi Rupert
One at 6.3 Cape white-eye by Philip van Coller, on Flickr
I also still own the OS Bigma, I think my old screw drive was actually sharper than the new OS.
Sorry no squirrels around here.

Thanks ---------- Post added 10-14-15 at 08:08 PM ---------- Hi Thanks All processing done in Silkypix pro. Standard processing Little strong contrast, bump black level by one or two. Sharpening change to fine sharp and bump up both slides by 4 or five. Downsize in Silkypix without sharpening to 2500 on the long side to post. Hope it helps. |

Hi Wissink No big secrets here. I use Silkypixpro 6 for all my usual processing. On the K3 I will bump the contrast one level , and change the sharpening from normal to pure detail. I also use Silkypix to downsize before uploading. With the higher ISO stuff I use DXO optics pro10 about 5% of my photo’s. The clean backgrounds that is why I use Pentax. ;) I keep 80% of my raw files lots of external drives. (I know that is stupid :)) Thanks for the compliment.

Hi TenZ I do have the Sigma 1.4 but I hardly use it was pretty bad from the start with the 300 2.8. I have more success with the Pentax 1.4 and the Sigma. IQ wise to close to call between the 300+HD TC and 150-450. I will go with the 150-450 for WR and silent focus and a zoom is just so much more versatile, especially if you can get the same IQ. Hope it helps.

I also have the Sigma 300 2.8 I will keep it. I am getting rid of the 50-500 OS and 70-200 2.8.
The gimbal head just work great for me.

Hi r0ckstarr Difficult to compare total different applications for me. IQ wise at 7m plus on small birds the 560 will take it every time also handles the TC better than the 150-450. I want to use the 150-500 for BIF and if you are lucky enough to get the small birds at closer distances. ---------- Post added 05-10-15 at 10:43 AM ----------
Thanks redpit
As said before the focus is very snappy I will say faster than any of my other lenses. Comparing with other lenses not that easy I have the Sigma 50-500 os not fair to compare them if you look at price.
