While looking at some weeds that needed to be removed in our yard I saw a yellow jacket moving along the ground. In looking closer, he was being pulled along the ground by a large ant. I had my K5IIs with the Tamron 90 macro attached so I was able to get a shot. |

I had several butterflies and clearwing moths at the butterfly bush yesterday. Here are a couple of favorite shots taken with my K5IIs and a Tamron 90mm macro f/2.8. K5II0411 by GvilleRick, on Flickr K5II0381 by GvilleRick, on Flickr

I set up a couple of flashes on either side of the feeder and got a few shots of a hummingbird. Flashes set to 1/16 power just a couple of feet away. Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 lens at 1/180". |

Had my first chance tonight to use the K5IIs for an extended period shooting a band concert. Shot in manual mode ISO 1600 at 1/125th of a sec. The second shot was an accident that I like. I was trying to get a shot of the low brass section by holding the camera up over my head (I was back stage). The focus locked onto the chimes instead and the bokeh is pretty colorful. |

Got my K5IIs this afternoon and took a few quick shots with my Bigma. Lighting was not that great so the ISO is 1600 to 3200. |
