Shot taken from the centre of the lift bridge on the roadway crossing the Welland Canal (Welland Canal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) at this point. Not many ships as the Great lakes still have quite a lot of ice and the Canal officially opened for shipping this past Friday.

I got tired of waiting for Spring to actually get here (-5C yesterday) so I went to the Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse (Niagara Parks | Floral Showhouse: Falls Greenhouse, Gardens, and Shows). It was nice to feel some warm temperatures and to see flowers in bloom especially after this winter which doesn't seem to want to let go.

The ice storm occurred overnight and into this morning. Our roads are clear for travelling but the trees are still covered in a layer of ice.
