Went out with a friend last night to get shots of his new truck. The light was fading fast and caught the last remnants of the sunset, with a bit of lightning to boot ... 16-50 and K5II, a bit of light painting on truck.

Coming back to Pentax after two years. Flirted with Nikon and Fuji. Then when it came time to buy my daughter a camera for her photo class, Pentax was the clear front runner for me, best build and bang for the buck for an older, entry level camera (K20D I bought here). After she received it, it got me reminiscing and looking at some old photos from my K5II, 16-50 and 50-135. My biggest complaint was AF-C (thus the Nikon) and when that wasn't as important, went to Fuji. Love the small size, but in reality, the lenses I was striving for were as big or bigger than the Pentax equivalent, and cost a lot more. So, long story short, Fuji is gone, have K5II, 16-50 and 60-250 (addresses my other complaint, the lack of reach of the 50-135, though I adored that lens). Here are two from my first go around with Pentax from the 50-135 and 16-50 ....

focus isn't tack on, but i love the feel of this. K5II and 50-135 at 2.8
