Excellent shots interester observer, the new lightroom has a panorama function. its great, it not only stitches well, but creates an editable DNG rather than a burned jpg.

Orion Nebula, Pentax K-5, ISO 3200, 30 sec, DA 55-300mm at 300mm/
f 5.8 with Pentax O-GPS1 Astrotracer. You can see a bit of trailing, I got an even better calibration later on in the night, but then the clouds rolled in.

Pentax K5 DA 12-24, f4, ISO 6400, 30 sec exposure. The foreground is illuminated by a passing car. This is lake mattamuskeet, one of the darkest spots on the east coast of America. You can see the double cluster, the Andromeda Galaxy, and one of the many bright Geminid meteors that I saw on Saturday Night. |
