After getting a zx-5, I got a Super Program with a smc-a 50 f1.7 and a comiscar 28mm and 70-200 for 40 dollar. I'm trying to collect all the unloved Pentax of history

Yes, I know I bought a ZX-5n (which ergonomically I like even better than the ZX-5) but it had a failed mirror motor. I did salvage a battery grip from it though. I wanted to restart my film photography again and wanted a small AF body. If i really get into it, I'll look for another body or maybe get into 645 or 67.

Hahah, I wish, although I did get the FA 31mm as a trade for a DA 21mm limited and SMC-m 28mm and 200 cash.

I found a working ZX-5 with a 35-80 f4, Pentax Bag, and 4 rolls of slightly expired film for $25 bucks. FA 31mm limited not included  Can't wait to shoot film again. I took the battery grip from the first camera, and now I have a battery grip that takes AAs.

I bought a beautiful silver like new ZX-5n for 25 bucks to start to shoot film again...but the mirror motor is broke. Its still one of the best feeling cameras I have ever felt.

The DA 12-24mm was far and away the most used lens in my arsenal before I got full frame. It was close to 50 percent of my shots at one time. I still use it for architectural shots because the distortion and vignetting is easier to correct than the full frame 17-35mm that I have.

After months of waffling of buying a 77mm or trying to find a FA 85mm used, I got a FA 77mm Limited from Adorama in V condition (which means scratches and dented but working condition)...I figured if its a bit scratched its not a problem since the limiteds have legendary build quality. Instead, I think someone mis-categorized the lens, because I got in almost Mint Condition lens in almost perfect shape with the bag and caps.
So I just got a Made in Japan Mint condition FA 77mm Limited for $309 plus tax. Needless to say I'm quite happy I hit buy on that purchase.

I bought a GX85 with 12-35mm and 45-150mm kit for $320 open box used on Amazon. Because I was tired of hearing how Pentax was doooomed, and now I can read all about how micro four thirds is dooomed. Joking aside, I wanted this as a second camera for hiking and traveling and its been great for that. In body Image stablization, small body, small lens, good ergonomics. I thought that Fuji was the closest to Pentax in design philosophy, but in reality I am way happier with Panasonic vs Fuji. I start to wonder if the same engineering and ergonomics philosophies is why the Panasonic S1 and the Pentax K series look so similar.

I decided my black friday purchase was gonna be moved up a bit with the k3 being discontinued. I got the $650 K3+50mm+flash deal from Adorama, and they will ship it fast enough for my fall foliage trip this weekend.

Mine back focuses in low light but i think its an issue with the original k5 in tungsten lighting and not the lens. Don't even bother using anything but the middle focus point.

Careful with a KR mount. There might be a ricoh pin that will catch on your pentax and it will be stuck on your camera. Look up ricoh pin removal. Its really easy, old manual lenses have very few parts at the mount area.

I just got a sigma 17-35mm for a 130 bucks at adorama...why did i get this lens even though I have plenty of options at that range. Its the 82mm f2.8-4 version. I figure an autofocusing 17 f2.8 for 130 bucks is worth it even if i never use any of the other parts of the range.

I agree with opinion of the sigma cases being a great storage case not a good field case. My 50 f1.4 case doesn't hold the heavy lens in any type of walking around or in a camera bag because of all the dead spaces between the walls of the case and the lens..

My first camera was my dad's slr, it was a Minolta XG-7. It had the exact same lens. I still have it.

I bought a Samsung NX1000 on ebay to replace my NX100, It was body only and no accessories, but I already had the lenses, flash from my old camera. Total cost: 90 bucks. for a 20mp APS-C mirrorless camera that can easily adapt k lenses.

I had to return the brand new sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 because it was very crappy on the edges even stopped down and weird focusing issues. I found a used DA 12-24mm on B&H for $630, and I'm just so pleased with it right now. I actually kinda missed the last 2mm, but I gain much better resolution, contrast and the colors...well the colors are amazing just straight out the camera.
