That is a bit funny almost an identical shot but for me it was a bit cloudier.
Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks, it was a bit dark and cloudy as it was threatening rain. As I was unsure of the exposure I shot this with AEB and ended up keeping the -2 and kept the sky and lightened the foreground.

Castle of Cardona by Gshoemake, on Flickr
SMC Takumar 135mm f/2.5 v2 @ f/8
Built in the year 886 by Wilfred the Hairy (I love how some of these names translate).
Currently this castle is a Luxury 4 Star hotel owned by the State of Catalunya.
It was hard to get a good shot of this castle as I had to go back quite a ways and crop in tight to avoid some of the man made obstacles that would have detracted from the photo.
This lens was able to still have decent detail with a heavy crop on a 12.1 megapixel camera.

Nice photo, I remember growing up in Ozark County Missouri we had a lot of Post Offices inside of General Stores like this. Funny how the world changes but some things stay the same in some places.

I really havenīt shot black and white with the Super Takumar 85 f/1.9, but perhaps I should give it a try. I especially like black and white for architecture and landscapes so will see what I can come back with in the next few weeks.
Some nice black and white shots Pepe, well done!

No problem Mike !
I was a bit surprised to see how shallow the depth of field is on f/4 at 200mm. I just need to practice more with this lens.

Here is one from the SMC Takumar 35mm f/2 @ f/2
Not sure what to think about the bokeh, its not quite as smooth as the 50 f/1.4. Water Lilies by Gshoemake, on Flickr

Went out today using the SMC Takumar 200mm f/4 and the SMC Takumar 35mm f/2 as these are two lenses that I have used the least.
Ended up with some pretty good results from the 200mm despite the wind blowing and it is quite difficult to stablize this lens handheld when using 10x live view. Malva de Roca - Lavatera Maratima by Gshoemake, on Flickr Sun Marigolds by Gshoemake, on Flickr

Fractalized White Gladiolus by Gshoemake, on Flickr
Super Takumar 85mm f/1.9 and used a plugin for photoshop called Fractalius to pull out the fractal details. Sometimes this post processing can turn a boring flower photo into something a bit more interesting.

All of this talk earlier of the SMC Takumar 200mm f/4 made me want to go out and shoot mine as Iīve only used this lens twice since I bought it in January.
My impressions is that this is a very underated lens and is very good at pulling out the details in one object while producing great bokeh in the rest of the photo.
Looking forward to using this lens more  Balcony Geranium by Gshoemake, on Flickr

I think the bargain days of these lenses are over, especially with the rise of popularity of being able to use this lens on m4/3, Sony Nex and Canon EOS cameras.
However if the lens is in excellent to mint condition the price really isnīt that bad considering it is getting near the original new price $259 (circa 1967) and not adjusted for inflation still makes it a good deal.
(source Pentax Super-Takumar 24mm f/3.5 SM)
Also when compared to Canonīs new 24mm f/2.8 lens that is not even an L lens for $850, the Takumar looks like a solid investment.

For Wide Angle donīt overlook the SMC Takumar 24 f/3.5, I find that it works well on my Canon crop sensor (1.6x). I still have the Canon EF-S 10-22 but I only really use that for indoor shots or artistic shots to over emphasize the foreground.
I find the the 24mm even on a crop sensor camera is wide enough for general outdoor landscape shots.
Normally when I am out and about I carry the SMC Takumar 24 f/3.5, S-M-C Takumar 50mm f/1.4 and the SMC Takumar 135mm f/2.5 and I feel that I get the shots that I want.
I need to start using my SMC Takumar 35 f/2 more now that it has finished being deyellowed. :)

Thanks
I think a lot of people are clueless about the v2 of the 135mm f/2.5 and I bought my v2 for close to the same prices that 135mm f/2.5 v1īs were selling for. It appears that v2 was only produced for 1 year before m42 got moved to the K mount? If that is true then it would add to the rarity of the m42 v2 version.

Here is my very unscientific test between both lenses the Super Takumar 85 f/1.9 vs SMC Takumar 105mm f/2.8 both shot wide open (f/1.9 vs f/2.8)
I shot two shots and kept the best one of the two after zooming in using Lightroom
All shots are handheld, but pushed the ISO to 400 to keep the shutter speed above camera shake
Shots were from minimum focus distance on the SMC 105mm and a bit closer in on the Super Takumar 85 to get close to the same field of view.
Images where then cropped to keep near the same view.
No post processing other then raw conversion and noise removal (same process applied to each image).
Results look almost the same to me except slight differences from the f/1.9 vs f/2.8.
Focus was on the lower right hand Dahlia flower.
All colors and sharpening are natural and were not touched in post processing.
Both lenses used their respective lens hoods. Dahlia-SMC Takumar 105mm by Gshoemake, on Flickr Dahlia-Super Takumar 85mm by Gshoemake, on Flickr
