Indeed a nice visual illusion!
Nice man I am with you on this one. except most of the rolls I receive developed are cut waiting for scanning when I actually get the time to do it. But imagine my thrill then seeing film photos with 4+ years delay :P ( I obviously do some scanning but only hand picked frames, rest of it waits until my retirement :P )

I think you may still have some latitude there - if this was scanned by third parties, they most likely used the same setting for all images. One day you might want to revisit these with your own scanner. Back in 2008 I was using local Jessops to scan my negatives. Some came out weirdly cropped in places where I remember I took care not to crop the subject. Others were slightly off with exposure or had some highlights blown. All this was down to their automated scanning process ! Once I acquired my own scanner and re-scanned these , it turned that the shots were perfectly framed or highlights easily recoverable with small compensation during scanning!

great examples of the takumar qualities :)
BTW how did you scan these shots - the colours are very pleasant! Their quality resembles somehow the scans I got once from a Jessops back in 2009.. (making a mental note to myself: need to find that roll and re-scan some of the better shots )

Great review and nice shots there - pretty sharp as for a budget zoom !
Excellent results with that Z1p and the film looks very capable too ! I checked your huge full res images and the resolution there is impressive as for wide open. Looks like that FA 1.7 is as sharp as F50 1.7 I had. Good stuff.... :)

Amazing series.. even more so, as it is from my home town . brings back some memories of what I remember very vaguely , having been there well over 25 years ago ! But what I can tell from your photos is that they are doing truly an amazing job at preserving these horrifying artefacts for other generations of what is probably the most cruel and at the same time industrialised inhumane treatment of people ever....... thank you for sharing !

nice atmospheric shots - I like the out-of-focus and little bit cinematic style - it is like watching a movie frame that is in the middle of panning or focusing . cool :)

Ha ha you are having fun with those quirky cameras of yours , aren't you sir? :D
Nice results on paper - especially like the first one - something about the light there.. TFS !
Looks great - colours are splendid ! Only gripe I have is the horizon - to my eye slightly off, but nothing major.
Well done!

Beautiful panorama indeed , however I personally dislike the division into 5 separate frames, and would rather leave it as a single impressive image. Great result nonetheless !

Being so meticulous with your journal might have been bothersome and certainly sounds alike but look how much of a value it added to those images after so many years. These portraits are great as they are but after this short story they gained so much depth and meaning - one can easily see by this example how simple information can add the dimension to the photograph.
thank you!

Nice results with those - especially surprising is that little DA35 wide open performance seem to be really up there considering it is a DA lens. And 20mm on film is really wide - I wonder how would it compare to my 17mm Tokina...
Great developing and scans too - did you do all by yourself ? What scanner have you used ?
WOW just wow ! You are showing not only that :) - but also how great photographer you are. Really really impressed - thanks for sharing.

Interesting.. my theory is perhaps the sun, the atmospheric pollution or rain acidity is changing the pain in a different way depends on how the surface pained is angled towards these elements, but I clearly can see that the colour reflectivity is simple different - I bet you could see that with your eyes too.
Also the angle of these ropes is about 45 degree so that means the light hitting them is going straight towards the camera and lens, where the bridge bars are perpendicular to the sky and so the light from that overcast sky is barely hitting them - hence darker appearance on your photo.
