Beware that system resized images may lose a lot of sharpness. If you sharpened a 1500x1000 image so it looks good on your screen, if may look less sharp if the uploading program automatically resizes it to 1024x683. Best to resize it and sharpen it to a size that won't get mangled after uploading.
For example, I uploaded sharpened images to Google Picasaweb using 1500x1000. I also tell Picasa to use the original size/slowest upload option so it won't resize them at all. However, when I linked some images from there to here yesterday, the biggest image size offered for linking by Google is only 800px wide. So I'm sure the images will look less sharp.
