So much negativity.
OK, maybe CRK are not the world's greatest/most efficient distributors, but we're getting the K-1 soon!
I'd rather not have to wait, but it's still a good time to be a Pentaxian.

Communication from CRK a few minutes ago:
"Hi Sandy, very happy for you to confirm. There is a lot of rumours circulating at the moment with very little truth to them.
We are trying to be patient ourselves.
As I am sure you can understand we do not wish to make any guarantees to certain days as the shipping date gets very close.
Pre-ordered stock is the priority - it will be shipped out on a chronological basis when stock arrives!"
Just relax. They are doing their best. It will happen :)

I have direct communication from CRK saying they are "hoping to get the pre-orders sent out before (the launch party)"

I just hope the recent drop in CRK's price will reflect in what I was quoted verbally when I pre-ordered in person yesterday at a local B&M....

Pure coincidence. I just got back from shooting the full moon with the HD55-300 on the Q7 for the "Single In" Challenge and this was the first post I saw :)

Yep. I'll be buying locally. Anyway, anything over $1000 from the US will be hit with serious import duty.
It's a rip off, but it still may be the best bet.

Pretty disappointed with the Oz pricing, but I have still put down a deposit at Camera House Twin City to pre-order mine.
Maybe someone will see sense by April and adjust the price to be more in keeping with other markets....
