Score! You'll love it Norm. Some copies show more lateral CA than others, but mine is very well behaved.
The DFA* is certainly a better lens wider than f/2.8, but the extra cost, bulk and weight are significant. The DA*55 will remain my Nifty Fifty, while the Fat Fifty can do the heavy lifting when I can take the kitchen sink.
