Oh yes, I like it! I'm just saying, in case someone shoots jpeg in Neutral setting, they won't get such stunning results. I do a lot of PP on my photos, I'm not against that. Just trying to be helpful :)

Well the photos look like they have some added clarity/contrast. But yes, UWA lenses can produce interesting bokeh if you shoot closeup subjects near wide open aperture You have to be really close though :)

Only when the bokeh is a major part of the photo.

Purple and pink and wow

For example, in this photo, a lot of the frame is dedicated to the OoF area. So I applied a mask. The subject has less NR and more sharpening and contrast. The OoF area has more NR, does not need sharpening or contrast. Not massive differences, just a little (actually the differences were done with just one gradient in LR). But in another shot, you might want to add contrast on the bokeh itself. Depends on the mood you want to go for.
That's my answer - looking forward to reading what you guys do :)

That's an interesting discussion. I know that Bokeh means blur, but I didn't think about whether highlights and flares and diffraction spikes could be considered in or out of focus. Often we see these things featured prominently in "bokeh" photos, moreso than non-bokeh photos (like documentary photos or product photos).
I guess I would define Bokeh as the way that a lens renders things that are not the intended focus. If diffraction spikes and flares are a main feature or garnish of the subject, then I would not consider them part of bokeh. Some internal contradictions here :D The problem is that bokeh really is a word that sprang up organically through the internet. Its not one first defined by "authorities" - at least not to my knowledge. What are the earliest authors that used the term bokeh?

That's a bit strong. I mean, language etymology is fun and important. There are so few words that made it from Japanese to English (especially bokeh, which is pretty much international like "Taxi" or "WC") that they should be cherished. But yes, definitions of words change over time, especially when more and more people start using them

Doesn't pretty much the whole English world use colour, with Americans being the one exception?
I was astounded when I visited North America and saw how many simplifications are used, like "hi liter" instead of "highlighter", many words being reduced to just two syllables, many fancy letters just taken right out. Its almost as if no care at all is given to what is proper, to what the Queen might think if she heard it!
