Hm, I find that some modern lenses give a slightly cool look, so if you are used to that, other lenses might seem too warm. Things like monitor calibration can make that appear even worse (especially if the monitor is uncalibrated and has a bias)
The next possibility is that some older lenses actually do slightly yellow over time. I don't think the M 50mm is one of those, but generally leaving them out in sunshine (without windows, the lens has to be exposed to UV light), from one and the other side, can remove the yellowing. Just make sure, if you do this, that the lens isn't focusing the sunlight in a way that might cause a fire!
Finally, filters and similar things can also have a big effect. Use a lens hood, but don't use UV filters on digital cameras.
AWB should fight any kind of cast, but it can only do so much, because WB is used to fight different temperatures of colour, not colour casts on the lens. Not sure about MAWB and so on, but LR has its own AWB setting that can help (or its daylight setting, which is slightly different from the Pentax daylight setting)
Oh, and in Lightroom you have options of camera calibration as well as HSL and saturation. These things can affect the perceived yellow-ness of an image. If you add Saturation, for example, in my experience it will saturate orange and yellow before it will affect light blue tones. You should double check this, in case you have any automatic PP presets
I would advise you think twice about how bad the yellow cast is, whether you really need it gone, and what exactly might be causing it.
