Thanks Lowell,
I had seen your solution before and I plan on creating something like that very soon. Well done by the way!
But first I need to get myself a better tripod ...

Designosophy thank you !
The lens is indeed fantastic, even with the TC it can be very sharp and resolution is stellar!
The above action shots have been cropped a bit though.
My hand held results are best when I am able to get close to the ground or sit down and support my elbows in some way. But even then it's hard to hold this heavy lens still.. :)
Edit: i just wrote your post about your manual focusing technique (focusing with the thumb and ring finger while stabilizing the lens near the front element with your index and middle finger) and I use that too, works great !

Thanks Lowell Goudge,
The tern shot really isn't a good example of what the lens can do, but I liked the 3D rendering and the drop as you noted. I've only had this lens for a month or so and hope to add some better shots soon :)
About the weight: The lens itself is 1.4 kilo's, but the TC adds a lot to the overall weight. I'll weigh the total package tonight and post an update. Your K300 must be a lot lighter I'm sure. :)
