I got a new DA 55-300mm lens today. At 300 mm PF and CA quite apparent. Even at f8. Definitely need f11 or even better yet, f16 at 300mm. Better at shorter focal lengths. I got it new from B&H for $266. Worth what I paid for it.
1) Squirrel nest made with recycled materials. 300mm. Had to use manual focus as auto focus could not handle the shot.
2) The robin that decided that my porch light was the perfect platform for a nest. 300mm and manual focus.
3) Star of Bethlehem. 260mm and manual focus also.
