The problem is silicone rubbers are pretty much inert to most solvents. Xylene or toluene will dissolve silicone. Actually they degrade the material more than dissolve it so you can't really bond the dissolved surfaces. The other problem with these solvents is that they will react strongly to many common resins (plastics) so it's best not to allow them to get in contact with any other parts.
You might try some RTV silicone adhesive/caulk but in my experience even silicone adhesives won't bond strongly to cured silicone.
I slightly tore the eyecup on my K10D and balked at the $30 price tag of NOS replacement. Now I can't even find those but the are plenty of 3rd party Chinese knock-offs for $5-6 USD. The rubber will probably smell like the inside of a tire warehouse for the rest of my life.
