Thanks guys I am going to get the Tamron the Sigma looks good too but I don't use it enough to pay that much.

Hi guys with my DA*300 in the shop getting repaired I took the 18-55 out of the bag for a few family shots. Getting home I was shocked at the poor IQ what is a good replacement for this. I would like something for landscape and family type photos.
