Björn I have bought quite a few lenses these last 2 years and now I am amazed how first I had accepted lenses with obvious faults e.g. dirty optics even though they had been described as clean.

Now when I buy lenses I have two options:
to buy from a well reputed seller who shows many well made photos of the lens itself pinpointing any small fault. A lens thus described as near mint will fetch a high prize.
second option is to buy from somebody who hardly puts any description nor more than one photo of the lens. Here one 'may' get lucky and get it very cheaply, but there is quite high risk the lens is not in good condition.

thus for selling I would recommend to show many detailed photos of the lenses itself and describing the condition in much detail.
photos taken with the lens I find less important

A preset Soligor f3.5/180mm surprised me very much to the upside.
I had tested it against the S-M-C Takumar f4/200mm and the Soligor had outperformed it specially wide open.
Thus I had taken it along to that concert, wide open:

oh, thank you.
I just bought the lens ( Vivitar f1.9/35mm ) and have not had time to use it much yet.
Eventually I will test it against some other 35mm, above all my other fast 35mm, a S-M-C Takumar f2/35mm
I have the feeling that the Vivitar may be sharper wide open

another taken with the f1.9/35mm Vivitar ( wide open and ISO 1600 - 1/13 sec ):

ha, ha Georg, but I may wait for posting it at the fetish thread until I take better pictures of it.
Me too I like it's body, all metal body, very similar focus ring to those of Takumars. As mentioned I later had bought another Soligor of the same line, a 25mm f2.8 preset but whose optical performance did not impress me that much:

the photos of the 180mm f3.5 do mislead a bit, this lens actually is quite a bit lighter and smaller than e.g the Takumar 200 f4

that shot of your's with the MC Jupiter 37A is special, and it is a great lens which deserved mentioning in that thread: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/64890-whats-go...-look-out.html

yes, this was wide open, just as the other photos taken during this concert linked above

This is an old M42 preset version, the lens is not with me now so I cannot verify it's serial number. I neither have very good photos of it, but these two which I had uploaded to my hosting site when I just had received the lens:

the comparison shots with the Tak 200/4 and Pentax FA J 75-300 at 200mm, they are 100& crops and I just post the links as they are too big to directly show here:

there was some mentioning of Soligor on the second page of this thread, but not too many lenses presented yet.

I have a Soligor 180mm f3.5:

some more shots also mostlty at ISO 800 in this set: Soligor 180mm f3.5 - a set on Flickr

I once did a small test against the S-M-C Takumar 200mm f4:
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e190/kuuan/for%20posting/comparecentrecopy.jpg

or in words I find it sharper than the Tak 200/4, specially at wide apertures, and it is lighter and faster.

Because I liked this lens I later also got another old M42 Soligor preset with the same 'face', a 25mm f2.8 lens, but I found it just average.
