A shot of the neighborhood on a foggy night. Somehow the glow off the fog from a new LED Street light just doesn't seem to have the same effect as the warm glow of an incandescent or sodium bulb

Nice Moon shot
Do you remember the setting on your camera at the time?
This is not a criticism because you did a great job of capturing the foreground as if it was being lit by the light by the moon, however if you want to bring out the detail of the lunar surface try using the following settings. Set your Camera to Manual, set your F stop to F8, Shutter speed to 1/125th of a second and ISO to 100. These setting are a general rule of thumb for most cameras and I've found them to be very close depending on the capacity of the camera and lens being used. For example on my K100D the lowest ISO setting is 200 so I would have to, depending on the conditions ie: the intensity of the light being reflected by the moon, either slow the shutter speed 1 or 2 setting and keep the F stop at F8 or do the opposite adjust the F stop 1 or 2 stops lower and keep the shutter speed at 1/125th of a second. I've also found that at 1/125th of a second shutter speed you can sometimes get away with shooting hand held but shutter speeds lower than that you would most likely have to use a tripod.
Hope this helps

Just went through some old photos and found this picture of Boldt Castle in the 1000 Islands taken at night.
I'm surprised how well it came out considering it was taken without a tripod and on a moving ship

Thanks for the comment, this was my first effort at making such a shot. I will try as you suggest taking multiple short exposures and stacking them the next time I get a chance to some night sky shots
