LOL,, sorry I thought that exchange was hilarious.[/quote]
Ha ha! I didn't even catch that the first time! I got a good belly aching laugh from it though after you pointed it out. I'm a sucker for junior high level humor.

Good point! I really appreciate the quiet shutter on the K-5. I guess the best thing to do, if time and money are available, is to wait for the next gen K-5.

It's supposed to but I don't think the verdict is quite out yet as the reviews are only beginning to trickle in.

Sounds like a good choice. The K-5 can regularly be had for $900 these days and was actually available for $799 from Beach Camera on their eBay Deal of the Day a couple of days ago but they've sold out at this point, unfortunately. The K-5 might not be available new for much longer. If the K-30 has seriously better AF I'd consider it for street work even though I personally think that because of the build and feature set the K-5 is the better camera overall. I'm excited to see what the K-5 successor is going to be like.

One my wife took a while back in San Telmo.

This pic was a pain in the ass to process but in the end I'm quite pleased with it and the smoke jumps out like I wanted it to.

I like the set! You're processing seems fine. All of the exposures are right on the money. My wife got to visit Istanbul. She loved it but I was left behind jealous. :(

Thank you! This is a great thread!

Don't have either so can't really have an opinion but from what I've heard the macro Limited focuses a bit slowly while the plastic fantastic DA35 is pretty fast at focusing.

Thanks guys!

Do shots taken on ferries count as street photography?

Think this guy would be creeped out to discover I have three different shots of him posted online?

I wanted to add some of my street pics to the forum but wasn't sure where would be the best place. Since this seems to be the de facto street thread I'm going to share here some of what my wife and I have in the genre, if that's alright. It's great to see everyone's contributions!

Here's a portrait taken in Colonia, Uruguay with permission.

Here's another one taken the same day by my wife.
