Sharpness alone isn't everything. I am sure that at f1.4 it is still sufficiently sharp.
What good is an ugly but very sharp image? Probably not a lot, unless you work for press.

Tuco, that is a nice shot with the clocks. The way the 58 renders is really something special. Hard to measure as well, but imo, well worth the price.

A great shot, tuco. Nicely captured atmosphere.
Ofcourse you took the picture (so all credit goes to you), but Zeiss makes some mighty fine glass. And I am not talking about sharpness.
